Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD)

In addition to the School's archery instruction in P.E. for First through Sixth Grades, and a competitive archery program for students in Third through Sixth Grades, we also host a monthly club program where parents and guardians are invited to experience the sport of archery with their children!

What is JOAD?

"Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) is a program of USA Archery that teaches archery to young people, provides great opportunities for awarding achievement, and helps archers to enjoy the sport recreationally or progress to the excitement of competition!"

Who is eligible for this local JOAD club?

As future space allows, this club will be open to the general public, but at this time it is open only to St. Stephen's School students ages 6 - 12 years old.  No experience is needed and equipment is provided.  Children must be accompanied by an adult for all meetings.

When and where does the club meet?

The club traditionally meets at the St. Stephen's School gym, on the second Saturday of the month during the school year, from 3:00p.m. to 4:30p.m.  If you are attending your first meeting, please confirm with the contact below.

For more information on the club, please contact St. Stephen's School Archery Coach, Val Jeter.  You can email him at val.jeter@ststeveschool.org or call the school office and leave him a message at 512-847-9857.
